Gingergirl 10" Plate

This Gingergirl is painted on a 10 " plate. When I saw these plates some time ago, I knew I had to design something for them. It’s always fun to take a predetermined shape and plan a design around it … or on it!
A word to anyone thinking about designing… perseverance does pay off. I spent a day or two at my kitchen table wondering what the heck I was doing.
I really had to work at this one. Eventually I came up with this gingergirl. And, there’s a complementary gingerboy too, if you’re interested. I hope you enjoy one or both.
