Clear coat needed?

by Cynthia

I am using Pebeo Vitrail on vases. Do I need to put a clear coat over it to protect it so it can be washed? I would tell people not to submerge it in water but I came concerned that a wet cloth may damage it unless I put a clear coat?

Here's what Pebeo has to say about the Vitrail paints:
CARING (decorated surfaces): after drying, the colours tolerate gentle washing by hand,
without soaking. Resistant to glass cleaner. Objects decorated with Vitrail colours cannot be
regarded as utilitarian objects, but only decorative objects, and only surfaces not intended to be in contact with food can be decorated.

I bake my wine glasses.. put them on a cookie sheet put in oven set oven to 250 set timer for 30 min turn over off let glasses cool in oven until completely cooled down then take them out are ready to use.. You can wash them just dont put in dishwasher and I never let mine soak wash rinse and dry.
