Silver Ombre Globe

Hi, thanks for any help! I want to re-create the silver ombre globe pendant lamps seen here from West Elm. Tried to order but it's too expensive for what it is and they're out of stock.

So, I checked out Pinterest and found the second photo of how to do ombre effect with glass stain/paint. Problem I have is that I can't find a silver glass stain/paint that's transparent and not shimmery or glittery.

Does anybody have any ideas where I might find a paint to do this?

Also, do you think this technique would work on a globe pendant? I'm going to buy a plain clear globe. Thanks!
