Primitive and distressed

I found this shelf at a thrift store, it was dull brown. So I painted it with several coats of burgundy paint. Then over the burgundy paint, I painted several coats of black paint. When that was dried, I distressed it with sand paper. And sealed it with Krylon sealer for crafts.
