Mdf cabinets and chalk paint

I have mdf cabinets in my house they are the color of light oak what do I have to do to them to get chalk paint to stick to them or is there another paint to use and do I have to sand them?

Just lightly sand them and wipe off the dust. The chalk paint has very strong adhesion properties and will stick to your cabinets.
