Dress backgrounds

I painted a small picture of a wedding dress on a hanger, since my daughter is getting engaged, but cannot decide on a background. Any ideas would be appreciated!

 Painted Background

Hi Cindy,
It's much easier to paint the background first and then paint the dress on top of it. However, since you've already painted the dress, perhaps just base coat the background with the main color of the wedding party.
You could add some spattering of a metallic color (just be sure to protect the painted dress).
Or use a stencil over a solid background for interest.
Without seeing what you've done it's a bit difficult to give advice but I hope this has stimulated your creativity. And congrats to the bride!
