About Intermediate Pattern Packets


As an Intermediate Painter you have a solid foundation. Your brushes feel comfortable in your hand. You know how to set up your painting area. You know how to load a brush properly. You’ve mastered certain advanced techniques and you have confidence to move on to more challenging projects.

At this level you will be introduced to a variety of new brushes that will help you develop your skills.

For Intermediate level painters, there are assumptions that you understand “strokework”, “floated color”, “sideloading”, “doubleloading” and other similar techniques and skills.  

What's Inside Each Packet

Your Intermediate Pattern Packets will have a detailed line drawing, a shading diagram if required, list of supplies needed, color palette and detailed step-by-step instructions from start to finish. Photos of the work in progress will guide the way.

What To Do vs.
How To Do It

Well written Intermediate  Pattern Packets are excellent at providing specific, detailed, step-by-step directions on what to do to complete a painting. The assumption is always that you have taken an adequate amount of training to know how to do what's required to produce a painted piece.

I highly recommend that you do not attempt to learn how to paint from a Pattern Packet. You will find it to be a frustrating experience with very poor results.
