One of the interesting things about this plant is that the large trumpet-shaped flowers become most fragrant at night.  But apparently, it is not a very pleasant smell at all! 

They are lovely and showy to look at but every part of the plant is narcotic and very poisonous to people and animals, including your pets!  But it is a great specimen to paint!

The tubular part of the flower is referred to as the “corolla”.  The calyx is the brownish section below the corolla.  And the flower is the white part.

The simple design can be adapted to any surface you choose.
