About Beginner Pattern Packets
Beginner Pattern Packets are created with the beginner in mind. The painting projects at this level are very simple and introduce the emerging artist to the language of tole and decorative painting.These packets provide the beginner with the opportunity to exercise their skills and paint pieces they can be proud of.
If you’re a beginner decorative painter, look for the skill level recommended on the packet.
What's Inside Each Packet
What you’ll find in the packet at the beginner level is a simple line drawing (pattern), list of supplies needed, color palette and detailed instructions from start to finish. At this level, techniques need to be very well explained and illustrated so that you can follow along.
I provide everything you need in these Beginner Pattern Packets.
What To Do vs.
How To Do It
Well written Beginner Pattern Packets are excellent at providing specific, detailed, step-by-step directions on what to do to complete a painting. The assumption is always that you have taken an adequate amount of training to know how to do what's required to produce a painted piece.
I highly recommend that you do not attempt to learn how to paint from a Pattern Packet. You will find it to be a frustrating experience with very poor results. Don't do it. Learning and painting should be fun!
