Hi there!
Cheryl here from Your Decorative Painting Resource.
Your question has me concerned....
I do hope you are using paints made specifically for painting on glass. And if you are, there is no need to glaze them unless you're using flat opaques and want to make them more glossy. Most enamel-based paints are very shiny so there's no need of a glaze. Just follow the manufacturer's instructions for air-curing and then bake. Instructions vary from manufacturer to manufacturer.
However, if you are painting with regular acrylics and hoping to add a glaze and hope this will preserve your work...it won't. Not even if you bake them.
Can you tell me what a pudmuckle is? I thought the term described a tole painting stroke, but I cannot find it listed or illustrated anywhere. My email
Cheryl, Is it necessary to spray artwork with an acrylic spray if I use a quality canvas listed as “archival”? Cheryl, are you still writing newsletters?
