What type of and where to buy wine glasses to paint and be able to put in the oven to harden the paint.

I'm having difficulty knowing what type of wine glasses to paint. I saw some on Amazon and posed the question of painting and putting in the oven to the Community. I was advised NOT to put these particular wine glasses in the oven. Other Websites don't mention anything about what type of wine glass will work. I went to a large and well-know craft store in my area and they didn't know anything about painting wine glasses and being able to put in the oven - but they carry some wine glasses the paint for glasses. Now I am at a loss.... Will any wine glass work? Thank you.

Painting Wine Glasses
by: Cheryl

Painting wine glasses is fun and not complicated.

I get wine glasses from WalMart, discount stores like Dollar Tree, consignment shops, garage sales, etc.

Glass is manufactured at very high temperatures so baking wine glasses in a home oven is perfectly fine.

Check the glasses for chips but otherwise just go ahead and paint them following the manufacturer's instructions. Heat setting temperatures and time vary from one brand to another.

Have fun! And i hope this helps.
