About Tin and Metal Pattern Packets

Painting on tin and metal is actually known as Tole Painting. This is one of the earliest, original forms of decorative painting.

We use the same paints for tin and metal as we use for other surfaces, except glass. Therefore you do not need to buy anything special to paint these projects.

Like all other surfaces, tin and metal must be prepared properly before painting.

And of course, because it's tin and metal, there is a special, specific way of preparing the surface.

Click here for instructions on How To Prepare Metal For Painting.

What's Inside Each Packet

Your Pattern Packet will have a detailed line drawing, a shading diagram if required, list of supplies needed, color palette and detailed step-by-step instructions from start to finish. Photos of the work in progress will guide the way.

I provide everything you need in these Pattern Packets.

What To Do vs.
How To Do It

Well written Pattern Packets are excellent at providing specific, detailed, step-by-step directions on what to do to complete a painting. The assumption is always that you have taken an adequate amount of training to know how to do what's required to produce a painted piece.

I highly recommend that you do not attempt to learn how to paint from a Pattern Packet. You will find it to be a frustrating experience with very poor results.

Don't do it. Learning and painting should be fun!

Wish You Could Paint These?

There is a way. If you want to learn how to paint at this level, I provide a complete training program that leads you, step-by-step to become the painter of your dreams.

All you have to provide is the  desire to learn and commitment to practice. I provide the instruction and support.
