Reverse Glass Painting with a sponge

by Pat Ledin

Leaf Bowl (Reverse Painting)

Leaf Bowl (Reverse Painting)

I have tried a variety of techniques to apply paint, from brushes (including a tooth brush) to sponges and even fingers. Using a sponge allows me to layer the colors for unique combinations and shading possibilities for more definition. I also use a dry erase marker to lay out the design before I paint anything on the glass, it saves time, paint and money!
