Glass painting

I am having a problem painting on glass.

I'm using the FolkArt all purpose satins and it's not coming out as opaque as I would like.

Sometimes if you do a second coat that doesn't look right.

I have the Martha Stewart paint but haven't tried it yet. Any suggestions?

FolkArt All Purpose Satins

Hello Kathi,
I use this paint frequently and have had no issues. I find the opacity of the paints very good.

Be sure your glass is very clean and to wipe it down with rubbing alcohol. Use gloves if you're handling the glass a lot because oils from your hands will transfer and make for poor adhesion.

Mix the paint thoroughly before using it.

You can do multiple coats once the first coat has dried completely. Try a hairdryer to speed things up, allowing the glass to cool completely before you apply the next layer.

Martha Stewart brand is manufactured by Plaid Enterprises who also manufacture the FolkArt brand.

I hope this helps. :o)
